Ubi aren't the only publisher, but as far as you're concerned 1C could have released it, and everyone could be playing it, but it wouldn't be official. Ok.
Replace the word "UBI" with "Any Publisher". I'm saying there's a difference between an official announcement from the marketing machine and some tidbit updates from the developer. Ilya is under no obligation to "pre-post" anything here before facebook, and I'm sure once the specs are available he'll be courteous enough to post them here first.

Very similar to what I have penciled in for my new Rig, ready to purchase/build once I hear the Official Specs from 1C. Even so, I have no doubt whatsoever that the Rig will be more than enough to handle COD (I HATE that acronym selected by UBI so-called marketeers, fools that they be) with all COD bells and whistles and MAX settings.

The Saitek Pro Rudder pedals will work just fine with the Hog, although I didn't like the warthog enough to keep it.

You should have no problems running the two together. They will be two seperate controls as Target only works with TM products. (AFAIK)I'm running a warthog withmy bu0836 based rudders no problems.

Cheers!

The "bells and whistles" won't even all be turned on. I have no doubt there isn't a PC available that would be "more than enough", particularly if you like 3 screens and 3D.

Once Bulldozer comes out, Sandy bridge prices will drop like a stone.

Its been along time since high end PCs haven't been a rip off through lack of competition.
I'll be saving my pingers till then.

Simon, the game is indeed extremely scalable. For the past six months all we've been doing is scaling it back. Basically we had built a 2013 game and had to pull it back into the present. Growth in the next couple of years will be very easy. We'll just flick a bunch of switches back on - Ilya Shevchenko

All this is speculation - at best. Once Bulldozer really comes out we will see. Already the latest i7's and i5's are over 30% faster clock per clock than their predecessors. Bulldozer has the time until IveyBridge comes out. If that graph above is true at all.

And if we're to judge on nVidia's dominance on the GPU market today I don't hold my hopes high. It is like they switched roles from last year. Now AMD runs super hot and is lagging behind.

In any case, if AMD really manages to pull this one off, mind you this is their first new architecture from 2003, no on would be more happier than me.

I couldn't wait anymore so I went for the top and upgraded my hotas while I'm at it. No need to second guess anymore and my rig will be ready, time-tested and configured before CoD comes out. Some of the components take 3-6 weeks to arrive however..

Asus P8P67 Deluxe Intel P67 LGA1155
MSI N580GTX-M2D15D5/OC NVIDIA
Intel Core i7 2600K 3.4 GHz LGA1155
OCZ RevoDrive PCI Express SSD 120GB SSD
Corsair 8GB (4x2GB) 1600MHz DDR3 CL9
Antec P193 ATX
Noctua NH-D14
Corsair AX850W
Thrustmaster Hotas Warthog

I wonder how my saitek pedals will fit with the hog..

As far as i know 2600K might have "less" gaming power than the 2500K due to the multi threading, or lack thereoff in game. It literally slows the 2600K down below 2500K in certain applications (for ex. games that does not use multi threading)

Not a bid deal as such, just thought i mention it.

The first comment of this nature I've seen about the hog. What killed it for you?

The problem with waiting for the specs is that if the setup I've selected isn't enough then there is a little chance of improvement on the HW before the release. And I want to have my rig all pimped up the day I get the game.

I don't like CoD either.. will keep calling it BOB from here on
