I thought it would be a good idea to start a thread about your greatest moments so far. Mine has to be when on the "Guardian Angel" mission I was being chased by 3 enemy planes. Bearing in mind I play on sim this was so exhilarating! I went right down to tree top level, pulled a couple of barrel rolls, and then swooped under a bridge. I heard an explosion and knew that one of the planes was gone. I then climbed so high that I stalled, and held the stall all the way down, only to see the two enemy planes collide above me in a huge explosion. It really was AWESOME.

Playing online tonight against someone using a I16 while I used a Spitfire MKII I had my arse handed to me. In the rematch I flew a I153 and proceeded to beat him 8-1!!! Nothing like giving someone a taste of there own medicine lol

I haven't had too many stunning moments yet, but I do recall playing a game of strike, and leading a huge comeback, which felt pretty good.

We were playing 2 player teams (I was with random people BTW), one bomber and one fighter on each team. I was playing bomber, but the fighter covering me wasn't doing so good and we were getting totally beat up by the other team. Then with 5 minutes left in the game, I shot down the enemy fighter (who seemed to be a pretty experienced player) with the gun turret on my bomber, than finally my teammate got it together and covered me enough for me to bomb the crap out of the other team, we made a comeback and won by about 10 tickets.

Not totally spectacular, but feels good to win a close game like that.

Playing a ding dong team deathmatch, and had a spit in my sights. We were rolling and dicing for a bit and he tried to do a "pull out" after a split-s dive. We both went down ultra low and my left wing tip actually scraped the water. The plane slowed noticable for a sec as it happened and I just managed to gun the WEP to recover.

That and a game of CTA, I was on the glide path and a FW 190 tried to bounce me from the rear. However I was going so slow he totally overshot and I got him as he roared past with a burst from my guns. He plowed right in to the front of the airstrip and made it a nice glowing fireball to light it up/ I was chuffed since it was a night match, it made the landing a whole lot easier

Having unlocked the B17, both me and a friend took them online into a strike game...


we formed up and then headed tp the target.... it was a nice sight, two B17's flying together with some "little friends" looking out for us.

En route to the set of targets we picked, we noticed a couple of enemies at 1 o clock high, they had seen us to. We asked out little friends to go get em, but they couldnt assist, they were to busy engaging the enemy bombers elswhere that were heading for our targets...

we were on our own!!

The targets drew nearer and then got within range.....

between 2 B17's they can put up alot of firewpower.........

in a matter of seconds one of the targets was down, a ball of flames heading to the deck. We felt pretty safe in these big bombers, they could deal alot of punishment!!
The second target had made one head on pass at us and got a few rounds off but nothing to serious, (it was in this pass that we took out the other target), on his second pass he was coming from our 5 o clock high... as he got closer......

i couldnt figure it out, i wasnt the lead bomber, and i had eyes on the enemy fighter... he didnt fire off a single round, he was well out of range, so why am i going down in a ball of flames... wtf is gonig on....

Im screaming down the mic... telling my mate in the lead bomber that their must be another fighter lurking about because he's taken me out!! to which he replied....


Erm.... no theirs not. Sorry mate, i was trying to fire a few sneaky rounds at the enemy at our 5 o clock....only trying to scare him off..... i accidentaly shot you instead mate. Sorry.

Still.... we managed to make the targets and deal alot of damage with the B17's. A great game.

[Soviet Ace]

Hi everyone, I'm using this account as Soviet Ace (real name will not be said) allows me to use it.

I just had a cool little fight online with "Soviet Aces" Yak-3, against some 190As, and let me tell you. With the new control figuration for our AV8R, I can quickly smoke them. I just did in fact.

I was alone but against two other people who were flying the 190As, and neither one of them could put a hole in "Soviet Aces" Yak. Unlike me, who put several hundred machine-gun rounds, and canon rounds into them. So I guess it just goes to show, that Soviet Women pilots can be much better.

during a game of capture airfields, i had landed in my Yak-1 (i was using it to unlock the IL-4). a 109 was flying straight towards me, so i fired my rockets and guns, and blew him out of the sky. i'm not sure whether it was the rockets or guns that killed him...
