Imo, It's always easier to "sell" something that already exists. Wheels

THAT Sir, was pretty damn good! Now, if this was 'filmed' in wide-screen, with a decent amount of anti-aliasing, and some 4.12 specific features on show (and with the fraps watermark removed) this would surely get some new blood interested in the game. IMO : Forget about trying to get TD to incorporate this into the game as an intro (I don't believe it would be worth their efforts making the game engine play movies rather than tracks, even if it's actually possible) but create something really classy, with decent music, great action, showcasing some of the new interesting features and get the thing on YouTube. Then we all share it across the various forums and social-media and ... who knows? We might even get 10 or 20 people interested in the game that were unaware of it before! ![]() Seriously though, I enjoyed the movie, wanted to see more and believe others would too if some of what I typed were taken into account. ![]()

Even if you can't get an Official change to the Intro video it can be done unofficially since there are only a few files that need to be changed to get it to show on start up. To get a new Intro video to play you just need to add an ntrk video named "Intro" into the intros folder which will replace the old Intro video. You can also change the Intro music by adding a .wav file named "Intro" into the music Intro folder. (Sound files should be standard Windows RIFF files (with the .wav extension), however the data format should be MPEG - layer 3, 44100Hz, stereo.) Here are the default locations for the Intro files. Video: C:\Games\Ubisoft\IL-2 Sturmovik 1946\Intros C:\Games\Ubisoft\IL-2 Sturmovik 1946\Intros\Intro (.ntrk) - Make sure not to use the .ntrk extension for the video. C:\Games\Ubisoft\IL-2 Sturmovik 1946\Intros\Intro.msg - The one at the moment has nothing in it so that is why you don't see any text while the Intro video is playing. Music: C:\Games\Ubisoft\IL-2 Sturmovik 1946\samples\Music\Intro\ C:\Games\Ubisoft\IL-2 Sturmovik 1946\samples\Music\Intro\intro.wav So the player doesn't lose the original files as a courtesy I would copy the original intro files and name them something else and add the renamed files to my download. This way the user could always rename them back to their original names if they wanted to go back to the original Intro. intro_pf intro_pf.msg intro_pf.wav M4T is a good place to share such a video after it is finished. ![]() Wheels
