I don't know about the rest... but hiring the Slovakia team might not be that bad a thing for the final state of SoW (Its quite the map you guys made, I can't help but to wonder what other maps could be like made to the same standard).

Yes this standard bodes well for future FB maps, but this standard will be far surpassed by SOW. Also the tools for making maps to SOW standards will be made available to the community.

And wife bugs me about starting a project before the previous one is finished...

I guess that answers my main question: will we see 4.09 sometime soon or not? The answer is "not". Not ... until the new game is finished.

I find that thought process extremely weird. When SOW:BOB is released, interest in the IL-2 series will decline sharply. Why not release the final 4.09 patch while folks are still interested in -and playing- the IL-2 series?

Oh well... doesn't matter much anyway. The vacuum created by demand with no supply is filled by the 12,000+ folks working the un-sanctioned side of things.

Russia's at war, that might be more important than a patch just now.

And we have been at "war" since 2001, and it hasn't stopped any of us from gaming, and no publishers have stopped selling/supporting games because of this.

You are being overly dramatic JG52Uther.

You think? I am trying to make the point that a war is a little more important than a patch for a game, that Oleg has already said will be out when a certain milestone in SoW is reached.
