You are right, the 570 is a great piece of bulky thing. It strictly fit in my case (a 2004 dated thermaltake, I don't remember the model but tower size). The most uneasy thing is operate on ram module, few millimeters adiacent to GPU. Consider the fact I installed a Noctua NH U9b cooler too, the case is litterally 'full as an egg'. BTW everything run properly.
Cheers

.....and I still can't play to my game! INCREDIBLE! Shuttering shuttering and vey low framerate! Now you can't say that the problem is my pc!!

I need and answer to the staff.
Why with an I7 Processor.. I can't play to COD?
Do you need a video?
thanks!
Certainly the game needs things fixed, I won't say the opposite, but ...
take a moment to take a look to my rig.

I got my SLI finally working and I can play at 50 fps average, max 75 (limited due to vSync) using medium graphic settings ingame (low buildings and low forest, high model details and high effects) and having the computer properly set up.

The main pain for me are the network disconnections when playing online.

As someone told you before, I would check all the setup parameters of all your devices in the PC and make sure they're right. Also you should make some benchmarking on your PC using the proper tools, "plug and play" is a nice feature, but everything needs some tunning first in order to make things working as they are expected.

I would consider adding a second GPU in order to enable Crossfire first, I really noticed the difference once my SLI started running properly, and then overclocking, using a good cooling system of course, once you make sure your system is giving a 100% of its actual power.

It's hard to believe for me you cannot even play the game taking a look to your hardware, maybe you should consider lower down graphic settings and not to try to set everything on high just because you think your PC is worth it, at least until the sim is optimized properly.

Cheers.

im no expert when its about computer hardware, and your rig is definitely superior to mine....
however, you could try to delete the ubilogo, which helped many people here to increase performance, myself included!i have a massive performance gain due to it.

Sorry for incomplete info. Now I have new hardisk, Windows 7 ultimate, all drivers and I run the simulator with default graphic options at 1440*900. I have no problem with X-plane at max, DSC A-10 at max option, FSX at hight option. So I think that the problem is the simulator.

Wich are the most important optimization to do?
Now I am reading the optimization post as you told me... I hope to solve the problem

Ok, now after optimization I got less shuttering and good fps 20-25. I must use the simulator at medium option.... not as I expected with this hardware

How do you delete the ubilogo? I thought sometime ago I read in another thread that it couldn't be deleted?

Did you install Windows 7 64 bit or 32 bit. I would recommend 64 bit.

Your CPU and Memory are very good, but your ATI 5850 is definitely the weak link in your system. I would recommend the best Nvidia card you can afford as people seem to be having less problems with them. Also the developers has had contact with Nvidia regarding the sim while ATI has been disinterested. Atleast that was the case a year ago.

The sim has run with very little problems since release on my system with everything set to HIGH @1920x1080. I understand the problems people are having flying off-line but my on-line experiences with COD has been the most immersive ever in any combat flight sim.

Trox, the 5850 with 1gb is not at the level of the rest of your H/W. For this game you need as much vid RAM as you can afford, with 1.5gb as minimum -2gb as the right spot. I would suggest to sell it and buy an nvidia 560 Ti 2gb, or a 570 2gb, the first sells at around 200 €.

Cheers!
