Default Collector´s edition release cancelled????

I just got this email form the finnish shop in which I had preordered the CE:

ENGLISH
--------------------------------------

IL2 STURMOVIK CLIFFS OF DOVER Collectors Edition PC will not be released by Ubisoft.
The release changed to the normal version of the game.

We are very sorry about the new release information.
The few times we confirmed the products availability the suppliers told the collectors edition was coming according to Ubisoft's release lists.

I have checked the german UBISOFT website and they are still offering it.

Anyone with the same problem? Isn´t it a little bit strange??

Which shop was that? We have a order in Puolenkuunpelit with my friend. It hasn't been cancelled yet, but they did take it off the shelf. So did Verkkokauppa.com.

EDIT: Ok.. my friend got the cancellation message from Puolenkuunpelit too

Same supplier (Puolenkuun Pelit), same email here.

I would be extremely interested in acquiring information regarding whether the entire release of Collector's Edition has been axed, or if Ubisoft just cancelled it in certain countries (including Finland).

Depending on whether it is possible to order the game from abroad, I need to decide whether to pre-order the standard version of the game or not.

Also, may the fleas of a thousand camels infest the crotch of the people who make this kind of availability decisions. The one time I would have been willing to shell out a bit of extra money in exchange of some extra content in addition to the basic game, and to show my support to the developers...

Ubisoft... I am disappoint

Same thing here, got a mail from cdon.fi last week telling me that they won't be receiving any collectors edition. Got a nice discount on any future purchases from them though, that was nice since I didn't expect it. Vpd.fi and bootstep.fi still seems to take pre-orders though:

ole hyvä! varsågoda!
