My worry is not the DRM stuff, sir, may be I did not explain myself well.

My point is that, a so long awaited by all of us new Flight Simulator, that probably will set up a new level in this market (as IL-2 did), would have deserved a better explained, and more documented and even spectacular release note. They want to sell the product, don't they?

Great news, now to figure out how to pre-order the special edition boxed edition to Canada....north america doesn't seem to be offered as a pre-order option on the ubi website.
Love how flight sim enthousiasts can be the most demanding bloody arrogant audience of the entire video game market. No wonder they've stopped making games for us, we're never satisfied with anything.

I am VERY satisfied with this news, not an ounce of negativity over here.

Me either. I was dumbfounded when I saw that sailor running his butt off on that freighter. Wait a few days or so and they'll have a box for us to order eh.

I can't pre-order the collector's edition from Ubishop either. It automatically takes me to the UK part of the website, but when i run a search for it the only thing that comes up is the download version, the others are not even listed. No boxed, physical copy neither a collector's edition (i live in Greece by the way).

Being in Europe i think i will be able to order a properly boxed collector's edition from the likes of Amazon. It's already listed on the German section of Amazon for example, price for collector's edition is 70 Euros which to be honest, is not bad at all. I hope zavvi.co.uk will carry it, they usually have good prices and they have some familiarity with the IL2 series as they have some of the previous titles listed.

I dislike the fact that most publishers today ship their games without even a manual, only to put it into the collector's edition for a huge mark up, especially considering the think manuals of older releases, but what we are getting with CoD on top of the manual i think is pretty good and totally justifying an extra 20 Euros on top of the base package. I just think that some kind of manual should be supplied with the base version as well, even if it's a small booklet instead of one with ring binders.

However, and especially since the base version doesn't mention any kind of printed material at all, i honestly think the collector's edition is the way to go, it's really good value.
It might even be possible to buy a few extra copies to sell on ebay a few months down the line, too bad i can't spare an extra 200 Euros or so for a few extra boxes

Well sh*t the bed I never thought I'd live to see the day. I was 35 when Storm of War was first announced and while I never thought it would happen to me I thought maybe my son would have at least a fool's chance of one day stepping into the bright sunlight uplands of a 2nd generation Oleg Maddox flight simulator. But here I am, barely 42 and with a son still in the tubes and here it is. Even the wife, who frankly couldn't give a flying **** gave an cry of joy to hear it was actually finally going to happen.

Tears of joy.

And.

Oleg, for the first time in way too long, I get to give you some more money. Carry on sir.

To me "renegade" means to "go against or to oppose the status quo".

I am thinking that at 1940 the United States was not in the war yet and offically neutral so the american eagle squadron pilots could be considered "renegade". In fact there may have been talk of prosecution back then, not sure on that one though. For a young american to sign up to fight for anothers armed forces when most of thier peers oppossed the war is quite renegade indeed. Heck most of those pilots just showed up and got there themselves somehow...

To me the french and pole fighters were simply fighting for their countries not what I would call renegade as I am sure all of their countrymen were cheering them on in silent while watching the grey hoarde pass.

Yeah im thinking eagle squadron pilots are what renegade is refering to.
