Don't forget this game has to draw tens of thousands of trees in one view at some moments.

I've just tested it. But I see nice 3D trees which I can fly around. Branches of a tree will move in front of each other when going around it.

If it was true 3D you should be able to travel 360 degrees around it from all angles.

Like I said in my post, this was probably implemented this way to improve framerates and acceptable (even not noticable) for some people. For me it's an immersion killer. ( I'm hopeless at shooting things in the air and prefer if my targets are stationary on the ground )

Sorry for digressing from topic.

Cheers

good luck with immersion and optimisation in CLOD..trees in ROF are acceptable even since the overall landscape is more realistic than in cartoon of CLOD

while this poor sim struggles with performance on high end PCs, missing content, AA and ugly landscape ROF has new autumn textures for landscape....they can learn from them:

Absolutely loving ROF at the moment. The environment graphics & overall immersion is already fantastic but those Autumn textures are stunning. Can't wait for the field mods, Breguet & ofcourse the completely overhauled, all new dynamic campaign .... Good times!!!!

I really don't have this problem shown in the video. My trees are true 3D! I don't know where the difference comes from.
