I understand what your saying Chivas, but then again why did they even bother with the 4.09 beta in the first place? It seems strange to me to release the beta when they had no intention of releasing the finished version until after SOW. That was a mistake in my opinion, which has subsequently led to the mods happening.

The 4.09 beta gave the community two 3rd party maps that he didn't have any control over and didn't fit in his business plan to get SOW out as soon as possible. I think we were lucky he supplied the Beta. By far his first priority is to finish developing another money making product for himself, his crew, and publisher. The AAA community would be modding IL-2 no matter what he did, and the AAA community will move on to modding SOW. I'm sure he hoped that SOW and 4.09 would have been out by last Christmas but something this complicated NEVER goes without setbacks.

This is inaccurate. The first mods wouldn't work with 4.09beta, so I am told . That was only opened up later. So releasing 4.09beta had nothing to do with it.

I used to fly online until some 110 pilots started killin all the air and ground targets. I felt sorry for the red pilots having to deal with uber 110.
