Good job dude!

I remember seeing some stuff like this on the PC IL-2 forums, and isn't there a way you can "cartoon-ify" images with a lot of the more decent art programs? It would be a shame to lose the awesomeness of the BoP graphics, but it could also look quite cool if done correctly.

You could try to posterize it with Photoshop.. but cartooning basically means removing details . It'd both work out if done correctly.

Apple actually has a program that comes standard just for creating comics, but I have never used it.

Like this? But Yeah, I actualy think its better without it. Maybe with slight ink lines instead of this?



Edit: Or maybe looks better with unedited landscape?

The second one is more toward what I was thinking off (Although maybe apply the filter even more to get an even more basic look, as the old comics weren't all that detailed)

Fair point though, its such a beautiful game that it really is a shame to deliberately ruin the graphics.
