Can someone give me a link to Free Look the site is gone and I cant find any old links to the original freeware. Just got back into 1946 and need it till I can get a track ir, from reviews it seems people find Free Look smoother than Cam2pan?

If it weren't for New View, i probably wouldn't even be playing Il2.
There is a lack of enthusiasm for New View because of its limited English instructions. But much like the rest of Il2 set up, you have to use a bit of common sense, as well as trial and error to figure out what does what. I was able to find a way to get smoother mouse pans, while also locking a center position for my mouse. Later releases of New View include control inputs for the use of 6Dof, which i only partly use to move my head side to side. It is capable of much more than what i use it for. New View also has a button generator that allows you to program different keys and commands. You can also program a key when you press a button, and then program another key for when you release that same button. I'm actually very comfortable with my set up, and i know there might be other panning tools, but New View offers much more than just mouse smoothing. |
