That being said I don't believe data is being collected correctly.
It just goes to the "Top 12" in each league. seems like another glitch...
Unless this type of thing is sorted, the online will die in a few weeks...

Just have a look at the simple, but always working Resistance 2 system on the PS3 - this game has been out a year and the numbers are still strong....cus it works

the d-pad left and right scroll thru the pages... If you can't figure that out on your own I doubt you are capable of judging the lifespan of an online game... Run along now and go play resistance.

That would be ok, and I have tried it, if there were not lots of pages to scroll through, wirh lag - or are you in a 1980's world where that sort of functionality is acceptable?

The attitude on this board seems to be "if you criticise you are a heretic". For info I have been playing flight sims since the early 90's.

No the attitude is if you don't know how the game works saying it will die makes you look dumb.

Most of us are not in need of some sort of fullfilment from the leaderboard, yet we have figured out how to find our data anyway.

Read more post less.

I think the line is get off your high horse, post less

In an environment where there are numerous games with a robust online component and there is a strong market for trading in games in the couple of months after their issue, there is an obvious result. A certain element of the ownership will jump ship, and (as pointed out elsewhere) there will be more copies in the "used" section of Blockbuster, and this will hit sales of new copies.

I actually purchased BoP for the the campaign mode, but the online element is a big plus - but if it poorly implemented, why bother including it ???

Huge amounts of work seems to have been put into the sim mode etc, why not the online?

You don't need to do that to find yourself, entering the leaderboards will automatically take you to the page which you are on. It only takes you to the top 12 if the leaderboard has no record of you on there, you can scroll through the pages until hell freezes over but you will not find yourself because your not on there.

They 'could' have put a hint on screen that left and right on the Dpad scrolls through pages unlike just going to the top or bottom of the list like most other games.

Yes the could have, probably should have too... but it's still not that tough, they may have assumed too much about the the playerbase...

As pointed out by others, this feature seems only to work on a ad hoc basis.

The functionality of the stat board will only cause trophy hunters to trade. And for me, that's just fine.

The mentality that your standing on some board makes or breaks a title is facinating to me, so much need for instant gratification and self-promo. The game works very well online, it's subject to the usual issues for flight games on the PS3. If Heros over Europe has a better leaderboard I honestly hope those that think like you do trade in their already purchased copies, and leave the game to those who want to play it for the joy of it. There are enough of us to keep rooms going. Stat padders and trophy hunters never last long anyway.

True, if you are running after stats the game stops being a game and becomes work - that's the point when you lose all fun playing it.

I appreciate when as a biproduct of my time playing I get better and it's reflected in my stats, but it has never been the reason for playing. Same as marks meant nothing to me in school...
