Did you know that the 109s used in that movie were Spanish ones, not actual German 109s. It's sorta easy to tell when it shows the close ups, and the 109s have the Hispano-Suza engine. Which the Yak-3's Klimov M105PF-2 engine is a copy of, just Russian designed

growing up watching the film i obviously had no idea, i just really enjoyed it. It was truly epic. But then as you get older and you enjoy these thnigs more you do come to realise that they are not legitimate etc, but does not hide the fact that its an incredible film.

If im correct, also the HE111's used in the film didnt have the HE111's engine but something different, not sure what.

For the film they had a fair few spitfires but only 2 or 3 airworthy hurricanes.

Still one of the greatest war films ever made!!

battle of britain
633 squadron
the dambusters

three superb war films.

Yes, the He-111s had a different engine than they would have. Also, there weren't as many He-111s as it seems. Actually, there was just 1 single He-111, and I've actually been in it. It was in Arizona, and I saw it fly over. Thought it was weird, drove a bit more. Suddenly there's a Air Museum, and the He-111 had just taxied to a stop. I even got to get in it, and look around. Looks just like the real thing. Also, the Spitfires in the movie, were actually MkIXs!!!!

EDIT: Also, some Leo Kottke is good to play when your flying.

Their was 17 "messerschmitts" and 2 HE111's that were flown from spain to duxford for the filming, but en route one 109 and a HE111 had techical faults and had to pull out. I do recall they caught up later on.

"Aces High", "The Trooper", and "Pachendale" by Iron Maiden and "Cliffs of Dover" by Eric Johnson. Oh and and most all of the songs from the original command and conquer soundtrack. Still the best soundtrack for a game of all time IMO.
