New to il2, patch problems

Hi guys!!

Im new to the il2 franchise, ive just been turned by the release of the BoP demo on 360, and picked up a cheap copy of pacific fighters for the PC. I tried to update to the latest patch, but now when i go to load the game it comes up with an error message? Now i may be doing something wrong, as i am mainly a console gamer [love my hardcore flight sims though xD], so was just wondering if anybody may be able to help me with my problem?

Also i would be very open if anybody were to point me in the direction of any good mods/add ons, or anything that would increase my flying expierience.

um im not sure, but i dont think the pacific fighters version is as comprehensive as the il2-1946 version which can be found for twenty bucks on amazon and compusa...get that version and take back the pacific fighters...i have read about this problem before, but cant remember when and where...sorry...but it is worth it to get the latest and greatest version.

Did you install a 1946 patch ontop of Pacific Fighters? That may have done it

1946 should solve any problems but if not...come ask and I'm sure someone can help you!

Install the full version of IL2:1946 and get the patch 4.08mb1. That will get you up to speed for many things.

To play in most online servers, you should go to allaircraftarcade and get the Unified installer v1.1

Register at their forums too and peeps will get you up to speed on the latest/greatest non-sanctioned content.
