Nice mod! If I may add I also have done two minor and very inexpensive mods to my AV8R. The first was using two zip ties to reduce the spring tension. I've noticed considerable less fatigue and smoother flight. I have the aileron and elevator sensitivity set at 7 and 9 respectively. The second mod was for comfort where I simply wrapped the stick in tennis racquet grip tape. Best $5 I've spent lately.

Nope didn't get the pink they were all out; had to settle for black. As for the spring tension mod all you are doing is partially collapsing the spring to reduce the overall spring tension. I happened to use two zip/cable ties placed opposite each other on the two center coils of the spring.
