Thank you for the prompt response. Do you have any estimate on when the fix will take place? The game is providing a great deal of enjoyment, and I would like to continue it as soon as possible.

Can you guys at least get Steam to pull the 1.7 patch so we can reinstall it and play up to the last patch previous to that, because right now I can't progress any further or start a new game. As it is if you uninstall and reinstall from Steam it updates automatically to 1.7 so you're hooped. At least get the broken patch pulled please.

Just wanted to let people know that the transition works if you start a new game after the update.

Starting a new game isn't really an acceptable fix I've already put a number of hours into my game.

Oh not a fix, just letting people know. I figured I would do the leg work and test it out as I wanted to play and see.

I'm experiencing the same problem. Try to load a save game in Eastern Island and it crashes after the loading screen completes. Zero problems before 1.7.

1.7 should be immediately removed from Steam until this is resolved. I can't believe this made it past 1C's QA...

Vista 64bit.

Just adding here, I'm having the same problem.

My old saves are half the level of my current character so I'm not interesting in re-playing from an old save nor am I going to start from scratch.

I'd appreciate some speed in the fix for this. I've paid for a game I cannot (for all intents and purposes) play.
