Simulators are a freak part of the game community cake. We need to support it in order thgat new people come to our hobby and make it more rentable for simulations companies like 1C.

Like mentioned , you support them just as much by buying digital copys, secondly whats the issue with steam? Some might not like to pay online and some people want the boxart , but besides that? (It's probably more secure than you're local store if thats what you're trying to say)

As for reaching new customers...
Just like you're telling your friend about IL2 i could be telling people via any message/voip service such as msn, ventrilo etc and make sure more people hear about it.

We're not living in the 90s anymore.
