I am still ,occasionally, getting the lurching and jumping bug in the MS FF2 stick.

Interestingly, even if I trim up for hands free flying, which stops the stick from jerking temporarily, the outside view is still slightly jerking in the same cadence as the stick.

But it seems that if I turn the stick upside down and shake it around a bit the lurch goes away (no rattles).

I remembered that I disassembled a very early non-FF gameport sidewinder JS to attempt to repair a switch. The "pots" were actually 3 mirrors.

Could it be that a speck of dust is causing a spurious input?

The stick seems to be doing pretty well now so I am in no hurry to attempt to disassemble and clean the mirrors.

I got so annoyed (before I tried the invert and shake) that I bought a Saitek X52 pro. Although the Saitek is an amazing piece of work, I was almost instantly disappointed in the lack of FF. In fact I (almost) feel I am cheating with the MS FF2. The stall shake is, for me, a significant dogfighting advantage. Using the Saitek throttle as elevator trim is VERY sweet and all those buttons and stuff are tits, so I'm not sending it back or anything.

I sure hope that the 1C development team has a decent FF stick in their stable. I'd hate to see the FF effects not exploited.
