Had the same thing happen to me. I had done a quick save prior to entering the cave and reloaded that, moved the ship a bit so that it wasn't right by the cave then went through it again. No problems that time. Perhaps there will be a patch update to fix the problem, but I think that this might be the only place in the game that it would occur.
