"With key that you assigned to "Hold to adjust FOV" + mouse movements.

Go do Controls > Camera and check if are key assigned."

...yeeeesssss many thanks mate!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!it works like a charm!!!! Im sorry because I thought that it was a "zooming" function and so I never tried it, but YES, it makes what I was looking for hahaha!!!!

about the propeller...so Im the only one with the problem so far????...very weird that you solve the problem by enabling v-sync and I cant do it even enabling too ...maybe the crossfire?¿?¿?

And...only zoom for external view?¿?¿?¿?WTF?¿?¿?¿?

About graphics I knew I was right, sadly ...is there any way to roll back to an older game version?, Now I have a nice rig I would like to test some hard hitting graphics sim!!!

Many thanks mate!!!

EDIT: I think its the "atmospheric scattering" what they have "erased" from the game isnt it???

Yes, just it.
See this pictures from Jaws, he use one the first version of game.

But, now this is "water under the bridge".
Although washed, still much beauty in the game graphically.

Hi there.
My advice would be, ofcourse if u have few bucks to spend, get a facetrack or freetrack setup. It cost is just around 30$ with cam and stuff and as i read u are an engineer so u should have some manual skills aswell
Build a clip/cap get a PS3eye Cam and u wouldnt have to worry about head movements

Also:
My rig is
Phenom x2 965 be almost @ 3.8
Sapphire hd 7850 2gb a bit OCed
8gb ram
7200rpm hdd
and i get a lot of stuttering and micropause. No matter what ANGELS am i. I just dont get this game.
I tried to fix this but without any success it happens with low medium and high settings with and without AA. Only difference i see is when i lower buildings details and forest.
My Vram is rarely exceeding 1.5gb
Also i noticed that from time to time VRAM is just going "empty" and this is where the micropause comes in... Most annoying during dogfights..
Remember to increase ur "contacts" draw distance

Have a good one

Hi trooph!!! thaks for the support man!!

You are right, I didnt remember about free track software, indeed, I have a Wii mote and if I can remember well it could be used as a track system, but it was a bit complex to do I think (and its not my "job field" as Im finishing civil engineering hahaha, but I will do my best )...I can remember to facenotrack Ir or something like that

I have noticed that my vram is almost always full all the time, but no stutter happens to me due to that as long as I dont get too low altitude (as 10/15 meters) so my fly is very smooth even at quite low altitude so it shouldnt be the reason of stuttering because if so I wouldnt be able to fly smooth in any situation, and as I say, I can actually fly perfectly smooth (even in combat missions) and at very low altitude no probs...I have the feeling that it has to be something related to the decrease in fps because as soon as I get below 60fps the game stutters a bit, no mater how much below(f.e. 50fps) but it gest obviously worse as fps still decreasing...

the crossfire seems to be working quite well too, but in some situations (I couldnt do many tests yet) I have seen my fps below 60 and GPU usage not at max, wich would suggest a bad profile or not the best one, but not always as I have seen too 94/97% usage in some moments...that said anyway in quite low flight over land my dual 6870 are able to keep up frames at 60fps with barelly a 60%-70% GPU usage wich is amazing

CPU has a weird behaviour too as it uses to be at really low usage (15-20%) in all cores or 90% one core and almost nothing the rest of cores in other situations and I think that seems no good...I have seen some affinity mask somewhere but I dont know if I should use that tweak or its something of the past...

About the contacs draw distance increase...how can I do that mate???

Many thanks!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Watermanpc,

Probable you problem is due use of Crossfire - this game always have problem with this and SLI.

In the last patchs are informed this issue has improved ...

Do a search in this forum for "crossfire" to see what another users say.

Hi there!!

Yes , I have renamed the logo.wmv so...what I have been testing for a while is the Face trackNOir (1.7 beta) and...OMG!!!!!!!!!!:...its just amazing!!! I have a logitech C300 cam and it works really well with the 6dof ...indeed Im going to buy the ps3 eye to improve fps capturing and see if that helps to make things even softer!!(anyone with this setup could confirm that??)...with some kind of tracking, the game becomes into another world!!! its like being in the cockpit, astonishing!!!!

Default Xfire profile

Try the lost planet 2 profile in your Xfire set up.There are more than one in the list with different DX SETTINGS .That made a big difference to me.Good Luck.

Thanks buddy, I have tried several profiles and the result is the same (no difference at all) so Im quite sure it must be some vram related issue...the problem gets really worse as I get into a very cloudy area with a lot of houses and trees under...the frame rate is quite good (although not 60 fps) but things start to stutters a lot. I have ploted a frame TIME graph and I can see some CRAZY high peaks well over 30ms(the acceptable limit) every time I fly low over the trees (and/or when fsp drop below 60) so it could be a problem with the frame time (wich is a very common issue right now for almost all AMD cards)...So I´ve tried with radeon-pro and its auto v-sync (similar to the nvidia dynamic v-sync) but I think it doesnt work with CoD as I cant see any difference when I activate it (in comparsion I can see a huge one in Trine 2 when activated as the frame rate is a LOT more smooth)...so any more idea??Im the only one with this problem so far??? all of you have an smooth low flying over trees cover???

On the other hand I have noticed another weird problem with the sim...I can make a click with the mouse on the cockpit instruments but with the instruments that can "slide" I cant do it?¿?¿? For example the radiator lever...I cant slide it with the mouse...any help here???

//Off topic: Certainly, I have buy (second hand) a PS3 eye cam, and the result with FTNoIr is just.......it has doubled easily the response time and now its very, very smooth and precise even with the face recognition method...I guess that if I build the IR system I would get a very consistent track IR at a fraction of price!!!...what I dont know is why the cam is at 56Hz and not 60Hz?¿?¿?¿? but anyway its by far a lot better than my C300 cam at 30Hz hahaha...//

Many thanks mates!!!
