Yes, the first time you go to bombardier position, the Wimperis "auto-adjust" to settings done previously - from pilot position* - or if is not set reset to minimum values: 3.000 foots, 90 MPH. But only in the first time. This happen even we are in the runway, check in (infamous) Cross Country mission.

In this picture I am a 7.800 foot and jump to bombardier position and see Wimperis "auto-adjust" to 3.000 foots.

After set altitude (now ~9.500 foot), I dive to ~500 foot and the Wimperis keep the previous adjust of ~9.500 foot when I jump to bombardier position.

I notice that frontal horizontal part of Wimperis move accord rapid change on pitch of aircraft, maybe stabilizing.

*In RL the pilot are not able to set the Wimperis like we do in game.

One thing that help keep tracking of target is adjust the right engine with a slight lower RPM than the left, so Blenheim keep a more straight course.
