I think the update is fantastic! Especially the Stuka! Think of how these models will look with dynamic lighting! I'm drooling...

Only thing I didn't like all that was the part: "the final release…. Which isn’t soon really…. " I fear we are starting to talk late 2009 here. The Alpha-version has been flying since 2006. If they are using that much time on the Beta-version, then we have to be really patient. And we aren't, are we?

I am very impressed with the latest update too.

Actually I don't think the alpha has been "ready" since 2006...remember some of the issues that took time away. CrazyIvan explained some.

Anyway hoping 4.09 will be released with the server patch soon, no reason to keep it out another year eh?

Agreed, JoeA, and the price of that dual quad core rig I was looking at last year will come down even more in price so there's no worries here

I think my money is very safe with a Easter 2010 release.

Are you going to buy the PC-Box-10 Version for Windows 12 or the Sony NeuralImplant-Version, Tree? I've not decided on that, yet.

Unfortunate for a mis-spent youth and an evil brew called "Emu Export" I think I'll only be getting a FPS of about 10 if I go for the Neural Implants. I wonder how much and Positronic replacement brain will set me back?

Oleg has hinted that SOW will be built around the 'Monkey Island' game engine, so we should be ok with our current PC spec's, i am even considering buying it on floppy disc format so i can enjoy it on my Amiga.

From personal experience, about £40,000 for the most basic model. Better start saving, like yesterday!
