Default Junkers JN-UnNamed Dive Bomber.

After many many years of being out of 3D modelling I thought I would see if I still had any skills left that I could dust off so to speak.

I picked a random aircraft that I thought would be cool. Unfortunately the 3 views that I have are absolutely horrible and until I get better ones I wont push forward cutting flaps, elevators, etc. The 3 views I have are so bad that if you line 2 of them up then the other is off so this is with me doing alot of guessing and trying to make it look right.

Im looking for something that could be used in IL2 1946 since Ive spent so much of my past involved in this game. Currently this model is alittle too high in polys but if the demand is there then I can always cut the fat and hope it could one day make it in game.

But here is what she looks like after 2 nights of work. I know it looks crappy but as I said, the 3 views suck. lol

What it's supposed to look like.

Looks great to me! What a fun plane that would be to fly. Dive bombing in a jet!

I think it would be fine but the lack of information has stopped me in my tracks. Once I can dig up some more info then I might continue.

Interesting that the wing roots go through the turbine exhausts - does it have some sort of vectored thrust?

Not that Im aware of. I can hardly find information on it since I can't look it up by name or a prototype number.

Vectored thrust in a 1945 paper napkin design that was never built?

Come on.

I understand that modelers build what strikes their fancy, but the game really needs some serious aircraft that actually, you know, flew and fought in the war.

We already have too many fantasy aircraft in the sim, IMHO.

For e.g Lerche and Ta-153, I don't like those planes in this game.
