I suspect there will definitely be snowy landscape, if the sequel will be what we are expecting "Moscow".

Personally, I like the mountains of the Crimea and Kuban regions on the Black sea.

No Beaufighters in Russia to my knowledge Krupi, but if the Cliffs of Dover stuff were re-released as a package together with the sequel, including these planes as flyables would be a great way of re-energising 'the community' who want additional Cliffs content, and would also tempt any dissenters to purchase the sequel anyway.

Fantastic idea, if I say so myself, and I commend it to the House.

Edit: Nearmiss, I reckon we'll be getting Leningrad, Moscow and Stalingrad. Or at least, maps representing the three main thrusts of Barbarossa. I also hope we do. We already know the Stalingrad part......

I prefer this way too.

So long as we don't go back to that awful sound engine we got dumped with in FB, I remember the disappointment coming from IL2 to that distinctly

When IL2 Sturmovik was released version 1.0 there were problems. Things were alot simpler then because we were using 32mB video cards, and other much less sophisticated computer systems.

Technology has seriously advanced since those days and graphic standards have gone into orbit compared to those days.

Yes, IL2 had problems and the UbiSoft forums were a rage for over a year after IL2 was released. The devs were patching and releasing carefully, because the rage became unbearable with bad patches.

Patches were just downloaded zip files and the process was simple for updating.

The IL2 devs final solution to most of the problems with IL2 came in the Sequel "Forgotten Battles". It was a success, and we never looked back.

Those of us that enjoy air combat flight simulation, a video making utility, a mission and campaign builder, online battles that catch the cheats, etc. We will have to bite the bullet and stay the term, which means after the next patch there will probably be issues...

The sequel was how it was done before, and it looks like it will be the same this time as well. So, you are going to have to pony up some more money and buy the sequel.

It isn't worth a complaint, because the majority of us would have gladly paid double the price of COD in the beginning.

Be patient, and feel good. Luthier and the dev team are still striving to produce the air combat simulator application...that will be second to none.

IMO, note I say in my opinioin. I would prefer the sequel not to update the previous COD version. I would prefer just like "Forgotten Battles" that it be a completely new release with everything from the COD included (not the bugs).

Wash all that COD stuff behind us and move onto better things...

Start anew with a completely competent and exciting new air combat flight sim application.

I totally 100% agree. And a bit more

Best Regards,

Hmmm...........System Specs? Which card do you have? Game settings? It's best if you turn off the game's AA altogether, by the way, contrary to what I say in the ATAG thread.

Did you click the 'add' button in the control panel, then follow the file path to 'launcher.exe' in program files, so the control panel knows you're customizing settings for that particular programme? Then clicked 'apply'?

Sorry if this sounds patronising, but I'm just checking.

3930k @ 4.8 Ghz
GTX 580 3gb newest drivers

Tried all AA settings in game including off with these settings. Even tried video inspector and no go. Res 2650 x 1600 Which in most games removes most of the AA by itself. If I lower the res it is hideous.

No you are not patronizing, just trying to help and thank you. And yes I did all those things.

The only thing that has made any difference at all is the InjectSMAA. It makes only a very minor difference though, like going from 0 AA to 2x AA. Noticeable but very small. And the landscape still shimmers badly over cities.
