Well, actually nobody forces you to install these beta patches at all. I still have the official patch installed only, I do not have the problems you mention here. I am pretty sure, that the next official patch will render most of us happy, although I still doubt that some things ever get fixed...

Theres absolutely NO reason to cut the cord and give in, just do something else for now, it will be all worth it eventually.

I desperately want the series to succeed. Lord only knows when another next gen WW2 sim will arise. It's so frustrating to see the future of a hobby that I hold so dear, bequeathed to a team that seems so very inept and so backwards in their grasp of good gameplay and game design.

1) The publishers do not like to spend money on "poslereliznoe" service problem projects. If the game fails, it is much cheaper than all instantly shut down and disband the team.
2) release of patches for the troubled project, which means the contents of the command is usually only possible through the advance allocation of money for new development. In fact, correcting the previous project "eaten through" money allocated to the next. There is next - it means there will be no patches for the previous one, bye.

Given the above, the decision to finish the first full release of the past usually means instant death.

Also, all of the above applies to the gaming industry in general and do not necessarily reflect the situation within 1C.

Can someone analyse this a bit further? Are they taking a risk against the norm, as stated in the last sentence? Are they trying to find middle ground, between fixing this sim and not allocating to many dollars away from the sequel? Can this be detrimental to the possibility of a total fix?

Some of you guys in this industry would be in a better position, than I, to answer these.

Regards,
