This looks just wonderful, but until such time that the AI wingmen will actually follow you after takeoff how do you play?

S!

I heard a workaround to this AI problem from Thomas. Let AI have control of your plane until cleared for take-off. After that switch back to manual control and AI sees you as wingman/leader.

I dont use any AI in alpha CoD 1.06 plus fix. Just when mission starts open coolant and oil radiator maximum immediatly. Works well with full management of engines.

Sat on strip for half an hour waiting for clearance. Never came. As soon as I took off tower recognized my wingman as aircraft out front.

And now AI will not control my aircraft at all. AI control does not work, so anyone have another work around?

On te plus side I guess the skins are nice. Back to DBW.

I just take off once I get the engine running, I also sat on the field for about 20 minutes waiting for the lead to start rolling which he never did. Once airborne, just circle and fall into formation, unlike older SP missions, your lead/wingman don't immediately give up and RTB if you aren't where they expect you.

Thanks for the thumbs up on this add-on .I had the Beta Desastersoft missions already downloaded & installed.I watched Desastersoft's site for a long time waiting for it to be available in English ( My year of college German is probably not up to the task...) and so your review sent me over the edge & I purchased & downloaded it Friday. I ran into an install poblem ( it would not play in game, even after I had updated the install. After many (5-6) emails back & forth with the German representative ( & probably designer,) during which we talked at crossed purposes for a while,he determined that I need to uninstll or remove the beta folder in steamapps/missions folder & reinstall the full campaign, which I did and viola it worked! It is quite an add-on & frankly should have been what the sim had in it in the first place a year ago.SimHQ had a nice review which sort of echos this view. Now I still have lower FPS than I'd desire & am a little uncomfortable downloading & installing the beta patch & fix because it tends to delete ( for some reason) some of my campaigns. So maybe I'll just stick with the official install until the official upgrade thru Steam takes palce.
Thanks!
