Correct

The difference between the two is DVI-I incorporates DVI-D plus also an additional separate analog signal to make the connector backwards compatible with older standards like VGA. Note how the four analog connectors on the LHS of the DVI-I diagrams above are missing on the DVI-D diagrams.

Basically, unless you are using an old analog screen or similar analog device (and hence will need DVI-I plus a special analog dongle) there is no difference as the digital pin-outs are identical on both standards.
