Hello Heinz,

Can you elaborate more on the voltage setup of the card? I don't have any other issues with the new drivers at any other sim / game so far.
If my card is not OC'ed, what are the correct voltage values and how do I set them up?

standard is 1.000V, in idle mode 0.95V , light OC versions have 1.025V...u can go up to 1.150V safely with OC without send ur card to the hell , some models get up to 1,200V, but just for extreme needed.... 1000Mhz GPU Clock u can reach with 1.130V, depend on model..( just as sidenote, since u not overclock)....

i use EVGA Precision for my card... u can use MSI Afterburner for change voltage, aswell

Well, 1.05V did the trick here as well, but I still don't know why changing drivers required manual intervention with the voltage regulation.
However - if anyone else has these problems, it seems like the solution.

thanks to all who helped.

edit - in very intense air combat (enemy plane very close, while firing guns) the artifacts still remains, much less than before and for a very brief time.
should i increase voltage again?
