That´s a positive thing! The old engine was optimized over a period of 10 years as well...

Not like other games, Il-2 lives and grows constantly...

When do the devs think CLOD will reach the state they wanted at release?

Engine complete? Probably never.
If it's a modular design, things can be updated, changed and adapted unlimited.


Completely playable as a the simulation advertised. Now that would be a term I'd be interested in.

I'd echo what others have said...

CloD won't be "finished" until hardware evolution grinds to a hault and/or they start working on the next engine.

Call me one of life's eternal optimists (Or someone who held his breath for too long as a child) but I'd like to think it will be playable fairly soon.
