Thanks For your help.

Try using the anti-virus I'm using, its free! get it at Microsoft, and give it full control meaning the firewall, excellent program...then download CCleaner and run that, also free...then look here and follow the suggestions. good luck!

I do not run an Anti Virus program in the background to free up my cpu and memory. I have run CC Cleaner too. Still I have freeze-ups and Launcher crashes. I also play many other graphic intense games at a high resolution with no problems.

I did get this to work for a short time at the lowest video setting. But then it began to crash at that setting too.

Getting frustrated! Any other help is appreciated. Thanks..

Default launcher doesn't even start...

I have read all the discussions in this board about launcher problems and still i can't get it to work. I installed Cliffs of Dover, Steam installed the patch. When i start CloD in Steam, there is a short sign of a logo, then nothing happens. No error-report, nothing.

My Sys:
Intel Core 2 Quad Q9550
MSI P35 Neo2
4 GB Ram
Gigabyte GTX 470 SOC
Nvidia 295.73
Win7 64

I reinstalled DotNetFX 4.0 and Visual C++ without any difference.

No i have no clue what to try to get the thing running...

I had a similar problem with my Launcher.exe where it failed and would either not launch or crash. Found that the problem was connected to removal of some software that I had deleted. It had taken out some "shared" dll's that were required by CoD. A re-install of SP1 for W7 resolved the problem and have not had any further problems. Also check and see if you have had any recent MS updates that might be corrupted, if you have try system restore and see if that cures the problem. When you get a lot of updates all trying to install at once for some reason some get corrupted during the process.
