This makes me wonder if theres a way to force DX9 mode instead of DX10?
Edit: tried changing the value to D3D9 and it worked (verified via EVGA precision that it was indeed in DX9 mode) Last edited by Slayer; 01-11-2012 at 09:05 PM. |

On my system all it does is revert to DX9 ( at least thats the mode EVGA precision says its running in)
Don't think this works. |

errrr .... unless I've missed something here, CloD shouldn't work using OpenGL at all. It was originally based on DX only. Unless they've got legacy code from IL-1946 in there.

One thing for sure.. the legacy DX11 code is in CoD. That is to say you can set it to D3D11_0 and it will run the DX11 'feature levels'.. But It is not recomended! 1C stated that at the time of release, MS had some issues with the DX11 feature levels, thus 1C downgraded the featue levels to DX10.. Which is doable since the DX11 API supports DX9 threw DX11 feature levels

Its a fresh engine written for D3D so it probably works via a OGL wrapper somehow which inevitably is much slower.

I believe this is that simple.

I don't see any "calling" OGL libraries only DX

What's puzzling me is they're still seeing graphics on the screen after changing the config setting to OpenGL
