COD working OK previously. Also have multiplayer server running OK. Got up this morning & found steam had disconnected the server (game/steam bug)
![]() Now when I try to lauch the server or when I try to launch COD to play it, I get a "Prepearing to launch Cliffs of Dover" dialog, but nothing after that. The load just hangs ![]() 1. I've checked for steam updates ... no updates. 2. I've verified COD cache .... 1 file needed reinstalling. When I relaunched COD I then get a "performing first time setup ... Installing GDFInstall.exe" dialog, but this dialog just hangs there & never completes. Is steam down? Any suggestions?

I just reinstalled yesterday and had the same issue.
Try navigating to your CoD folder and start the sim by double clicking the launcher.exe you find there rather than the Steam shortcut on the desktop. It worked for me. Hope this helps. |

ISSUE RESOLVED
Don't quite know what I did but it's fixed. I redid checking game cache several time & rechecking steam updates several times. Then the game came back with my server login window not my player login window. But all's well now.
