I can deal with no reflections... especially when we are struggling to keep decent FPM's at the current state.

Why is it whenever someone comes up with a new development idea/request, a large portion of all respondents on this forum come up with a "don't bother with this until they fix the other stuff" response?

Think about this for a minute. Developing code takes time. The largest percentage of effort always goes to the stuff that's months away, not weeks away.

If the ideas that you want to see next year - are not placed "in the hopper" - then basically, you don't run a good chance of ever seeing them.

In other words, making requests now - produces results next year - not anytime soon. Because a user has a brilliant idea on the forum, it never means that current efforts are abandoned to implement that idea.

Bottom line is, Squelching new ideas does not help produce fixes to your current problems faster. Negativity toward a new idea, only sends the message that the idea is not an important feature.

As to the OP's suggestion - Brilliant. Without specular features in the visual model, low level bombers will never have to worry about being spotted on a map. Easy points. The density of the ground textures, and the paucity of real world physics workarounds - have created a very unnaturally low vis environment under VFR conditions.

19 to 1 says the "silent majority" gets it too.

If this is introduced then, and when fps allow for it, this kind of glares should be added too to other objects, like houses, cars, etc... when flying you see a lot of these in cities and urban areas... etc

They are not asking about that reflections, but a very long distance quick glare when the sun reflects in the cockpit glass or wings at the correct angle... like when the hero sees the bad guy hiding in the far hills because the sun reflects in the bad guy binoculars.

We need it. By the way it is not a new idea, Oleg described it in details, clearly *BEFORE* the game launch ...

Ok, so it's not "new". I've brought it up before, others have brought it up before. Heck, I remember seeing it in Oleg's Ready Room years ago.

But hopefully, people will still bring it up - every week if necessary, until it's high up on the list.

Only other solution for fidelity balance is - yes - hold on to your shorts, I'm gonna say it......

"BIG DOTS"..... now if I could only have that order in two weeks.....

THATS where I saw it! .. and it looks cooool!

Light flashes off cockpits might be a good option but not essential. Didn't airforces paint their planes to stop light flashes off bare metal ? all except the Americans who wanted to announce to the world .. " WE ARE HERE! " (wet your pants)

You can't paint the Perspex canopy ... that's what gave off far planes, often. And that's what Oleg was explaining few years ago ...
