Windows Movie Maker Problem
I'm hoping some of the more technically minded can help me out here.
My Windows Live movie maker will no longer show any avi clips. Black screen, sometimes with sound sometimes not. This has only happened in the last couple of weeks and I've no idea why. The raw Fraps avi clips play fine in media player, but movie maker will not show them. Still photographs show up ok though. Consequently I can no longer make any CoD video clips. No amount of Google searching has found a solution, and microsoft's forum is hopeless. Anyone got any suggestions? I'm on Windows 7 home premium. Thanks in advance. I had that problem some time ago... I cant really remember what it was but I think it was something to do with compression. I was recording from the track with fraps, editing in VirtualDub (32bit, 64bit has too few plugin filters etc) and then finalising the whole thing in Windows movie maker 2.6 or Windows movie maker live.
It sounds very much like the problem I had, I will keep scratching my brain for you but pretty sure I just had to recapture the shots from the ntrk. |

Solved!!
Windows live movie maker does not function with latest Nvidia driver 285.62.
Downloaded the 285.79 beta driver and Voila. Movie maker now functions. Result! |

Good to see a quick resolution of your problem. Thanks for posting your solution. I think this forum is going to be very helpful for the movie-makers.
