To model early war Japanese aircrew, Pacific Fighters developers added the option of turning OFF parachuting aircrew in each aircraft flight. In a classic example of community independent thinking, the customers use this PF feature for more important purposes -- disabling parachutes to stop tanks and ships from firing main guns at parachutes, and equally important in all WW2 theaters, to stop hundreds of parachutes killing computer performance in large heavy bomber formations. Think of seven or more parachutes for every heavy bomber, multiplied by dozens of downed bombers, as the parachutes take a very long time to land. The parachutes kill cpu (not grafix card) performance because they are collision objects for player plane, and targets for all guns large and small, and all this has to be calculated like they are simplified AI aircraft.
