The idea is as follows ....
you get On-line wars and you don't get the night sift of it ever! - That's lame ! i want the whole package Day & Night.

With half the pilots I know unable to find their way back to their carrier after a battle, how many would get instrument rated enough to fly a nightfighter.
Let alone have the time to study up on radar operation.
But I agree in a perfect world, I would love to give it ago

I'd really like such a feature. Radar and avionics back then were really primitive, so all you need is a cathode display with a waveform that presents spikes when it spots an object. I know i'd love to be able to man the radar station on a 110, or fly a Mosquito with Oboe equipment installed and be a pathfinder.
