I tried the demo of the game. Yea its cool for beginning drivers. My only remark is why in heck would anybody want to drive manual? Its a nightmare. Maybe I'm spoiled with my automatic.

Manual a nightmare? What in the name of...
It's not hard at all. If you'd drive for a week with manual, you'd be familiar with it.

Weird that in Europe (except Germany maybe ), most people use manual, and in USA most people use auto. They must be looking extra comfort or ease in driving. To us it might be more like boredom

In Canada it is useful to sometimes have these advanced features, this is especially true of cruise control for highways (due to the distances involved). People do enter trances though and go off road, especially on the prairies. I suppose this must be a problem in the CIS as well? Manual is neat, though, If find that it is more important to learn to use manual controls for more complicated things like focus of cameras.

It is nice to see someone finally making a driving simulation.

Well, I do not drive a car yet, but 90% cars here in Slovakia have manual transmission.
And I think you have more control over your car and its power when you use manual.

In racing PC games, using auto transmission is lame. You get much better results than when using auto.

Did you hear the (true) story about that american guy who borrowed a car in europe (with a manual transmission) and drove on the first gear on the higway until he melted the engine? I do not want to offend anyone, but automatic transmission is probably made for two things one - to make driving on highways or driving in general more comfortable
two - to allow total dumbheads drive a car

For a while it was the fasion of course. There were attempts to mass produce bi-cycles with automatic gear shifting in North America. After a decade or so people stopped using them, in part because they were too expensive, but mainly because they added an incredible amount of weight.
