It's surprising that the 40$ investment is the end of life for some people here or atleast worth spending their evenings for months on end complaining about it. I think you have either exceeded your budget or been too dumb purchasing a title that was known to have issues before it was even released, instead of waiting for a few reviews.

Let it go! It'll either be a great success if you wait for the fixes or it'll be a grand failure if the devs are not able to fix it in a reasonable time. But any amount of repetitive whining on top of what we've heard already will not change CoD's destiny. Nor will it change the frequency of the updates. But what the hell.. beating dead animals is a joy of-course!

I think some people here have the feeling that this game is the only chance for a realistic prop-driven WWII flight sim game and have been waiting for it for 5+ years.

Some of those people only play flight sim (games) and have pinned their hopes on this title being great (hence the emotional investment in the game that some folks here have).

I understand their disappointment and frustration.

Oh dear.....

I think its fair to say your Bro will be seriously hacked off when he finds out how much money your Dad has just thrown away, if they had the original boxes too then i suggest your Dad doesn't even mention it cuz from what i hear they are worth quite a bit

It's an odd condition of perception, if I'd had ~50 hours of entertainment out of any other £30 game or product I'd be very happy, flight sims on the other hand...

I'm one of the ones here that finds Luthiers post at best 'flippant', and at the worst... well, somewhat insulting. I do have a sense of humour but I couldn't find anything within it to make me smile (the lad on the banjo is awesome though!).

On the other hand I've had some 48 hours with Clod and some of it was quite enjoyable. It's only in the last fortnight that I haven't touched it due to the many frustrations I'm experiencing with the sim and its being released in a half finished state. I think it's worth remembering that many on here who are being labelled whiners etc. are only cheesed off because not only does Clod not feature a significant amount of the features promised but many of the ones that are included are so broken that it will take months (if not years) to repair them. If Luthier is starting to get fed up with the forum content regarding Clod he needs to address the problem of communication (or lack of it) to the people who've forked out their hard earned cash on it. It's the least he can do to appease the feelings of the people who quite rightly IMO feel they have been shafted with the state of Clod even now a couple of months after release. To accept the shocking state that Clod was released in without complaint is madness and is just a signal to all devs out there that they can release what they want and Joe Public will accept it as a norm or a 'sign of the times'.

I've been gaming/simming since the Sinclair ZX81 came out (yeah, I'm that old!) and in all the years since then I don't remember there being such a hoo-haa over a game/sim release as there has been with Clod, and quite rightly so. The lack of pre-release info was enough for me to expect some problems but I certainly did not expect anyone to have the cojones to release something that was clearly still very broken and forced out of the door onto an unsuspecting community desperate for a new sim.

Had we been informed we were to be Alpha testers then that is a different matter, but we weren't! In the end for the devs and publishers it's about money and making as much as possible with as little outlay as possible and where Clod is concerned that is one of the worries. Is there enough money and commitment for Clod to be made into what it can and should be? Some seem to be convinced that the dev team aren't going anywhere...I hope that's true. I bought Silent Hunter 5 and I think I'm correct in saying that the 'plug was pulled' pretty quickly on that one, I'd hate to see Clod go the same way.
100% agree man. My conclusion is that some people just like being shafted really

I'm sure that the devs will keep on shelling out fantastic stuff (hell, they're already working on the next La UFO, one can only wait with excitement!), my real problem is that I'm not sure whether I'm a fanboi or a whiner (I've been called both so far), maybe we should invent a new term: "fanner", how about that?

Oh yeah. I have the large Rebel-Transport in the original box + some smaller ships and a SnowSpeeder. Incredible, what people pay for this stuff today!

Dear Luthier,

I can not say "thanks for the feedback" after the long silence, I hope you will forgive my direct honesty:

It is my personal opinion that it is time to see some professionalism and receive proper feedback on what is work in progress and what is the status of the development.

This consistent communication of colour pictures and (now) youtube music is "adding insult to injury"

The past weeks' communication has been reduced to "bread and games" without any relevance to the actual teething problems this simulation has.
We were receiving better information in the past years during the development of CoD than today!

This kind of postings is a slap on the face of all people who spent so much valuable time posting the bugs your simulation has.
Because, if the only thing you can find to tell me is the "jingle bells" of an 8-year old, how do you expect me to take you for serious and believe that you yourself know the ten things you should be working upon!?

I do not dare to think what the next piece of communication will be....

I am too old for this silliness!

True Dano. I think 'entertainment' is the key word there! As I mentioned in my post earlier I've had 48 hours or so with Clod. I think what's important though is that many of those hours were taken up with frustration and exasperation with trying to get the sim running decently along with trying to fathom out what has been implemented and what hasn't! The F16 like performance of the AI 109's finally persuaded me to shelve it until hopefully things are sorted down the line.

+1 (except the too old part )

I do have to agree, while I laughed at the post I was, and I am sure many others were, expecting the video to show off the sounds you have been working on.

I hope you have read what GRAthos posted, he is not the only long term supporter and customer that is beginning to have doubts... I personally am still enjoying the game the graphics are fantastic the DM is AMAZING but the cracks currently in the game are not showing the amount of work and hours that have already gone into it hopefully you will give us some more info in the coming days.

Thanks.
