Sounds a bit like me...only my Dad promised me a Moped (Vison i think it was) if i didnt join regulars so i took him up on his offer...only thing is he never got me said Moped so basically i was 'had'..went into Tigers instead (Portsmouth TA)

Airsoft is good, all walks of life and keeps yer fit too..have to agree that some do go O.T.T with radios and headsets but each to their own as i said before..they like it so thats all what matters

Much better than Paintball because of the guns...yes you can get cheap plastic crap but the full metal ones which as i say are replicas and are the way forward £250-1500.

Commercial airline pilot eh? sweet

OK sry for the hijack

No problem.....but I had to delete a post sharpish when I saw you posted this, nothing bad.

My Bro was a regular in the Queens and subsequently the POWRR (tigers) and was in the freefall team through the transition from the dragons to the tigers.

Not an airline pilot, I used to fly SAR/surveillance for the Coastguard (fixed wing yes it did exist), now I fly private jets.

once again, for the sake of science, in the movie "Idi I Smotri" there is a scene where they used a real German MG with real live ammunition, it was recorded on film, so what you see is what it looks like in REAL LIFE. Hope this helps a bit in the never ending debate of what tracers actually look like..

have a look from 4:14 and even better at 6:29

Totally boring and massively over-emphasised topic. Sorry.
