Did you select a side first? The new GUI gives you two flags on the right side of the screen, next to the map. Pick a side, then the selectable airfields will be white. Same as before, but now you have to click a flag, instead of selecting a side from the previous drop menu.

Thanks for the tip cheesehawk. That worked. I didn't know they had made that change, it's not exactly intuitive either. But I can get in now, thanks again !
