It would be nice to have a sticky listing just the latest patch details and number 1.0.14101 or is it 1.00.14214 so that we know.
A lot of people are posting about issues affecting beta patches. This should somehow be seperated from normal posts as it all gets rather confusing.
One guy states things have improved, another says it has not and... then confusion sets in.
I am dissapointed that we are now the official beta testers for the game.
A handfull of people with an assortment of systems should be chosen to test and varify issues.
If you look at ROF they have a select group of people testing. These guys know what to test and how to provide constructive feedback.
Their system data is known by the developers so they can insure a cross-spread of pc and graphic card/os configurations are tested.
What we have at the moment is a community based team (team dalious) out shining the developers with regards to beta testing of il2 patches etc...
This does not inspire confidence in the current development team.
I know there are several ATI betatesters currently flying the game to test issues, wish someone had maybe contacted them beforehand and let them loose at the alpha stage...
I am sure Nvidia has similiar teams available...

That doesnt work with win7/64 mate..still wont copy the core files over, says i dont have permission..

thing is when this beta first came out it worked, i had the splash screen and the vsync option and game ran better, then after doing a file integrity check it replaced a few files then since then ive had no beta patch, no vysnc and now it wont allow me to copy those core files over... maddox.dll etc etc

so Steam is ovbvioulsy stopping me from altering core files

If you have steam in a Program file folder, you probably need to reinstall Steam to a different folder, then just copy your 'common' folder, so you don't have to download all games again, but they will need a short reinstalling for each game. And if you have games with limited installs, uninstall them first.( At least check out what to do, so you don't loose access to a game, like Farcry2)

Cheers Dude, i thought that would fix it as i do the same with 1946 but i was seeing if something else was to blame, im knew to this Steam stuff.

i had no other games in steam so i just reinstalled everything again but in another C:/ location..

everything is working as it should now
