I'm guessing the developers didn't have an ATi card when they developed the sim. Lots of annoying artefacts with ATi stuff, none with Nvidia.

Urgh. Got the same thing here:

I'm using XP (dx9). Haven't tried this yet but is it confirmed best solution to date is to turn ground shadows to low?

edit: D'Oh!...and Nvidia GTX260 with latest driver.

Even duct tape can't fix stupid... but it can muffle the sound.

Hmmm...then I wonder what could cause this? Obviously not everyone has this problem and if it's not DX,OS or GPU driver then who knows? I haven't tried messing too much with my video settings. I've spent all my time fine tuning my controls and after logging more than 8 hours in-game, not even that is sorted yet.

Default found at least one solution

I have a new rig and had these effects for the first time - black flickering lines emerging from aircraft towards me.

I played around with settings - the only "cure" was to turn on epilepsy filter ???! All other settings did not work for me !

Nvidia 580 3GB, 270.61 drivers
