just tested them out, not quite maxed out on my settings yet, but well happy
But im still getting the annoying black lines, the same black lines i was getting when i was using nvidia card here http://forum.1cpublishing.eu/showthread.php?t=21743 these are the nvidia lines, but are the same using ati? Stumped on that? regards Doc

with my old ati radeon hd3870 512 mb, it will probably not even run the sim even on low video settings,, but if I try.. does anyone else have this card, and if so, what drivers do you use?
I fly IL-2 1946 with mods, Black Shark, and also played the Stalker series of sims.. but I stayed with Catalyst 10.9. All is well with that version... but with this old video card,, I am hesitant to try anything newer... I also use a 2.93 ghz duo2core cpu, Winxp x32, MSI P7N SLI NVIDIA nForce 750i SLI Socket 775 ATX Motherboard w/Audio, LAN & RAID 2 gb ddr2 ram IL-2 COD DVD is suppose to be delivered May 20 says GoGamer.com

Doc..try Land shading on more than low or medium. Also you can test that you set in CCC Anisotropic filtering to 8x. I use the 10.3's..waiting for the official 10.4's

My Asus 6970 card's now in and running with the Cat 11.3 drivers.
The frame rates are very good and I can run with original textures and high landscape shading at respectable FPS. It generally looks very good. However, there are some annoying graphics problems (horizon and black lines) that weren't there with the Nvidia GTX285 it replaced. I'ver posted the images up in the trechnical forum in Doc's thread. Some say that if not installing the HDMI Audio driver for the card can help with sound issues. I do not have those black lines at all on my 6970HD. Will check on this later today.
