Now that is the strongest indicator of weak sales when it comes to video/computer games. I was expecting it but so soon? ajajajajaj....
There's still the U.S market though and I reckon that's the make it or break it market for IL-2, Russia coming in at second place (maybe even first) and Europe probably the smallest when it comes to strongest fanbase and potential buyers.

Rise of Flight did this very well by drip-feeding new payable DLC (such as new aircraft).

In this way they were able to keep interest in the game, continually improve the game (as CoD desperately needs to) and also to work on really important new things such as a vastly-enhanced career mode.

This latter point is critical for CoD IMHO, because offline as it stands, it has little life expectancy. Just wait until all the current performance/FM/DM/graphical glitches/errors, etc. are sorted out, and then see how long this game can sustain offline interest, which is where my interest lies.

The team is going to have to stay very busy for a few months yet, or this sim may die for offliners.

Sincerely hope that they (or third parties) manage to enhance this aspect (once all the more important stuff is sorted out, of course).

They need to come up with some FMB documentation so people can start creating missions/campaigns. Without user made missions/campaigns the offline part of the game will surely be dead in a short time.
