Definitely an improvement in fps in my mediocre system. In freeflight France mission if I dive to the beach and fly north with cliffs to my right side I get around 20 fps in 1920x1080. But after flying straight a minute or so the framerate starts to jump erratically around 10 fps. All this with every land setting in minimum or disabled.

Anyways with lower resolutions the game is for the first time at least somewhat playable when over sea or very plain terrain.

interestingly enough
i get almost no difference in performance
ranging from high to low settings
patch or pre patch
260,266,270 drivers
tweaks or no tweaks
sli on or off
any resolution

the performance is almost identical in every setting ive tried
6 to 25 fps across the board

only thing i havent tried is sound disabled, might give it a try

Q6600
4gigglys of dd2 1066
2 x 460gtx
audigy2
win7 64

edit
i am using the german campaign 1 for my testing as above
now i thought id try the brit mission 1 in the campaign
now would u believe i get a %50 performance increase here
with all the shelling and extra planes in the screen at the initial stage,i figured the performance would be worse
its seems its not the case
i see more trees and planes etc in the brit mission
im at a loss to explain this atmo
20 to 45 fps across the board
the explosions look magnificient

strange darts indeed

good but notenough:

London has FPS now, rather than a slidshow every 2 seconds. somehting like 10 fps now, wit hbig stutters.

-still stutters when aproaching cities.
-still stutters when getting close to enemy bombers /fighters
fps gain pof around 5-10 in general.

-still stutters for everything.

running a 5770 quad 2.5 3-ddr2

running low and mediums most of stuff. window mode.

Sorry dude, but your 5770 is simply out of date for CoD.

report:

slight FPS improvement over ground, but lots of stuttering still.

Also, for the 1st time, I had a LAUNCHER.exe crash while flying a single mission over france

Been playing for a half hour now and so far;

1. Game is much smoother, playable now. It actually feels like a game.

2. Strange, intermittent issues where the game doesn't show any screen on launching (only a black screen).

3. The custom info-boxes are actually usable.

A bit better, but still not great to be honest, wild FPS fluctuations over the isle of white between 18 and 34 constantly and still quite a lot of stutters

i7 950 @4.2Ghz
6GB XMS3
GTX460 768mb @906Mhz clock speeds.

Still very bad Aliasing.

having all sorts of trouble with screen changing to windowed mode when it loads up a flight and changing resolution to both higher or lower resolution. So changed my desktop rez to 1280x720 to match game. blanks screen while ubi logo music is playing. alt tab to get to game and I'm flying over doved full screen. 45-55 fps quite smooth from cockpit but freezes from flyby and external view.

before patch was getting 30-50 fps over land
after patch 45-55 fps but still micro stutters is still unpleasant to play

models high
effects medium
damage decals medium
trees low
everything else low of very low
grass off
shadows on

amd dual core 3.3mhz, 4gig ddr3 1600mhz, GTX 460 overclocked, win 7 64
