Nvidia 8600GT (not officially supported) on Win7 Ultimate with driver 257.21 here.
Game launches, I can configure the Options but I can't see the plane or the pilot on their configuration screens. And of course the game does not work at all when try to fly. , even at the lowest resolution and the lowest settings. So this is the bottom

I flew perfectlly with IL-2 1946.

So, I am going to the Hardware shop this afternoon to see what I can I find and afford

EDIT:
FIXED not viewing the pilot and plane screens, just by changing a line in CONF.INI file, as stated in:

http://forum.1cpublishing.eu/showthread.php?t=20211

I had the same symptoms and now at least I can launch the Training mission. But I only have 1 FPS, even a LOW settings, so....: New card.

I have a 7950 GX2 - it's a 1gb card. Surely it should work in CoD! I know it's a little bit old, but come on!

8800GTS 512mb here: damage decals, visual effects and model detail high, rest low/very low.

FPS against 8 bombers over sea avg 33 from cockpit, 50+ outside view.

Over land, mostly unplayable.

You would think that wouldnt you but i havent seen anyone get any of the GeForce 7 series working. Even then they high end 7 series cards are way better than the 8600 and that card can at least start the game.
