Much as we all have reasons to dislike ubisoft (previous DRMs etc), Oleg and co were free to sign a contract with any publisher they fancied, and presumably ubisoft made them the best offer (regardless of whether it was good financially, the most flexible etc), so we shouldn't just be blaming them.

And love the IL2 team as I do, it's difficult to see how they haven't really messed up here. It maybe as daft as someone not understanding the implications of the contract, which I guess can happen with small teams that have few resources.

We just have to hope they can make this the success that we've been expecting. Oleg maybe leaving the team, but hopefully the team can remain motivated despite the current mess, and go on to produce fantastic patches and add ons for years to come.
