I suspect the reason for no videos or any recent comment from the devs is that they are burning the midnight oil and stressing to get the game up to gold status. Expect it is 'all hands to the pumps' time right now.

Don't know when the final cut-off point for going gold will be, but to allow enough time for distribution, etc I expect it would have to be by end of next week at latest (?)

Personally, I feel that they have been a little too cautious in what they've shown - the 2 videos were very good. The 'perfectionism' excuse sounds right to me.

Overall though, the promotion has been poorly handled. I've been very positive about everything all the way through, but right now there are enough warning flags to cause me some misgivings and worries. I have no doubt that eventually we'll get something great. Also no doubt that I'll enjoy the game from the start, but I'm finding it harder to keep making allowances for the dropped features and unfinished elements - Oleg's admission that the Spitfire pilot might not be fixed before release was what pushed me over the edge a little - and lack of promotion.

Has it occurred to anyone that they might be purposefully advertising in this manner?
This way they can release it, polish it, make it proper and start the advertising after it's 99% completed and not a crap shoot.
We've all witnessed potentially great games with huge hype crash because they aren't ready for the "mob."

I'm glad we have so many marketing specialists here, with so much experience in international cooperation of global player distributors. Thanks and keep it up, folks!

How long ago was it when Luthier said they were doing an English translation for a video? Two, three months?

With all the tweeking and debugging thats been going on scince I doubt anyone would be impressed with that video.

I think they've made the right decision in not releasing that video.

What I'ld like to see on all of the videos and images is a date stamp to show how old the video is.

At least it'd give some idea of how outdated they are

Cheers!

As fed up as I am with no videos with sound or new videos, I do still think it will be out on the specified release date. Oleg said that date is solid. So as I have said in a previous post I think they are ahead of what we see in screens. But my bug bear is that I believe we should be being shown current development screens.

About 35 days.

I don't think they tweaked all features they were about to show in a little over a month. I don't think the videos they released yesterday were made last week.

I do agree though, that the best time to begin showing those feature videos (not all videos at once, but one every few days) was a few weeks ago. Now the release is less than three weeks away, i honestly don't care for those videos anymore, because i'll find out soon enough anyway.

I feel the same, stopped hoping for vids about 1-2 weeks ago now I don't even care anymore, just want the game.
