I doubt that's really a collector's edition.
Right, but you get the game on the day of it's release, and save some money - which will sweeten the time you'll have to wait for your US(or UK) version to arrive.

Anwer=Greed.
I think because we Aussies were used to paying more for imports. We had to pay for the low Aussie dollar (Aussie dollar was around $0.57 to the USD) shipping and import taxes. With a download only tax should apply. The only way to change things is to let companies know we're not stupid and to treat us so is an insult. I thinks its one reason pirating is such a problem, most will pay what they think something is worth. Rip them off and pirating starts to look like a good way to get even.
PS. I don't condone pirating or ripping people off just because they can.

IMA the way a person decides to read a story, watch a movie pay a bill, bank or play a comp game should be up to them. If hard copy's are made available in local stores there would be no waiting or people trying to tricking the system to get what should be available. Trying to rip people off or dictate what they can purchase leads to things like a black-market (proved again and again by history)

Guys we must let UBI know our concerns via email or we will end up with the ruff end of the pineapple. All this talk of discontent will change nothing, only action will. With email there will be a documented account of our concerns. Come on guys YOUR COUNTRY NEEDS YOU.
VIVA THE REVOLUTION.

155 people altogether answerer this poll as of today.

Hardly a number worth looking at except for some indication of preferences. Among these 155, some have already ordered their own copy.

Do not forget also that the release of hard copy in stores does not depend only on Ubisoft. If the sores do not place any order for hard copies (and it's already the case in some countries for most PC games except the huge hits), then Ubisoft won't bother making them.
In that particular case, who knows...

Hi Guevara, from Uruguay I can go to the preorder page for the downloable version, I havent pre order because i haven´t a paypal account yet but i could go almost to the end of the process. Please confirm if you could do the same and got stuck later in the process or you just cant get to the preorder page, cause im confident i will be able to buy it and maybe im wrong and then i will have to fly to kick some ubis rear ends.

I have no hope in getting the collectors edition in Uruguay.
