I have the above apart from these:

Sky=2

Effects=2

I don't know if they are valid options?

No, both cause flickering. I have everything figured out. Thanks guys

But You can't say this

isn't an amazing looking plane

Seems that allow better (3D) trees...

this thread has been an invaluable source of informations for me. however, a friend of mine, having changed the
HardwareShaders=1
sees all the notifications font as little black squares.

taking it back to 0 solves everything but "water value drops from 4 to 1 automatically"

i'm lost. a little. he runs an ATI

Ati can't run water above 2.
